Reporting to our Senior Litigation Partner, you will work within the team of 2 Partners, 1 Solicitor, a Paralegal and a Secretary based at our Brighton office.

DMH Stallard is an award winning and expanding legal 100 firm with a headcount of 258, which provides integrated legal services from our offices in London, Gatwick, Guildford, Horsham and Brighton.

WHO AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Dispute Resolution team in Brighton. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic Chambers and Legal 500 ranked commercial disputes team, specialising in commercial litigation, IP and technology disputes. You will have relevant experience at a high-level and we anticipate that you will have been qualified (or with equivalent experience) for between 3 and 7 years.

You will be responsible for your own caseload and fee targets, ensuring a high quality service is provided to our clients.  You will be based primarily in the Brighton office, but there may be a requirement to travel to the London office on occasion.

You will have a proven experience of Commercial Dispute Resolution work, possibly from an in-house perspective. IP and/or technology experience preferable.  A working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules is essential along with:

  • Motivation and desire to continuously develop own technical expertise
  • A willingness to support others and be a strong team player
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • You will be expected to deliver first-class client care and have the ability to deal with a wide range of clients with differing objectives
  • Competent IT skills particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Digital Dictation and case manager
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to convey technical legal information in an effective and accessible way
  • The ability to work well under pressure and be proactive
